Minutes of General Meeting of the Comstock Grizzlies

April 19th, 2008

@ Rainbow Place Reno, NV

 

 

We started by having dinner since there may have been some confusion about the start time.

After dinner we heard from our Guest Speakers.  Tom and Brian of Rainbow Place.

He shared some insight and information about Rainbow Place.  It is a Community Counseling Center and Gay Rights Advocate location. 

There is to be a Stonewall Picnic on June 22nd.

The Grizzlies membership made a cash donation of $30 for use of the building for the night. The provided us a nice Thank-you letter.

Minutes were read by acting Secretary Nathan C. Since they were not presented in electronic form.       Motion to accept, Approved.

 

Treasurer’s report by Dean.

 

            Starting balance:           $246.01

            Ending Balance:            $246.01

 

            Check to NAF:            -$200.00 – not cashed

            Check to Marvel:          -$150.00 – not cashed

           

            Motion to accept by Brian. Second by Rob. Approved.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nathan shared inventory of shirts and the proposed quote for the purchase of 12 additional shirts.

We have 4 assorted Tank Top and 12 assorted Tee Shirts. We will be buying 12 additional Tee Shirts and NO Tank Tops.  Assorted sizes will be purchased to bring us to a working inventory.

It was approved to have Nathan purchase the shirts.  The Grizzlies will make payments (no more than 4) to Nathan till purchase is paid.

 

Joe & Lou’s Easter Basket Benefit. Will get date and will collect donations from members and present one check from the Comstock Grizzlies. Ken and Nathan are planning to attend.

The Grizzlies membership made a cash donation of $50 to the benefit.

 

New Business:

 

On the next meeting we will be looking to full the seat of the open officer positions.

The Grizzlies have been asked to staff a beer bust for the Memorial Weekend BBQ at Carl’s Pub.

It will be Sat Mat 24th 2008 from 3-7pm.  The BBQ is from 6-9pm.  The group agreed to staff the event.

We will Charge $10 for the beer bust but members will pat $5.  We are to bring our banner, Applications, and Tee shirts.
